At St. Nicholas, we believe that everyone has a unique role to play in serving our community. Whether you’re interested in helping permenantly or on the odd occasion with worship, singing with the choir, churchyard maintenance, flower arranging there’s a place for you here.
Your involvement is invaluable. Many of the church roles are on a rotating basis, so you can commit to as much or as little as your schedule allows.
If you’re passionate about making a difference and want to be a part of our vibrant community, we encourage you to join our team.
There is information further down the page explaining each role. Please fill in the form below or speak to a Church Warden for more information. (* required fields)
Do you enjoy reading the Bible? If so, why not consider reading the Bible passages during Sunday services?
Our church aims to warmly welcome everyone. Sidespeople greet worshippers at the door. Join us in this vital role; we seek friendly volunteers willing to give a bit of time.
We have a number of pre-arranged national and international visitors to St Nicholas though-out the year and need to be welcomed. So if you have some knowledge of Jane and her life connected with Steventon and would love to talk about this to others – your help would be appreciated
The North Waltham, Steventon, Ashe and Deane Parish Magazine is distributed to around 200 houses in this area each month. If you’d like to help with this, perhaps by delivering to you own road, or one close, please get in touch using the form above.
Dependent upon the season there is little to a lot of work to be done, mowing, strimming and general garden maintenance. All the work is currently done by local volunteers on an adhoc basis.
Church flowers are normally changed via a monthly rota, unless there is a special event.
