Tuesday 25th August
Dear Friends
James and I met today and he gave me your incredibly generous present of a Travelling Communion Set. I am deeply touched by your kindness. I will treasure it always and think of you every time it is pressed into service.
I count myself incredibly lucky that I have been able to train, serve my title and now minister within our Benefice and you have been very sympathetic to the mistakes I have made along the way. There may be some more to come!
It is a little over eight years since Bishop David and I first met and he suggested I might want to become a Priest, at that time I was content with being a Licensed Lay Minister. It turns out, as was so often the case with him – he was right. It just took me a little while to realise it.
At long last I can now sign off by wishing you all
Every blessing and again many thanks
Rev Charlie
