Recent Highlights
St Mary’s has continued to enjoy a season of meaningful activity, practical progress, and strong community engagement:
- Bell Restoration Progress – January 2026
Work on the bells is moving forward well with the louvres scheduled for replacement at the end of January.
- Christmas Services 2025
The Christmas season saw excellent attendance across services, with the Christingle Service particularly well received and very well attended.
- Overton Churches Together – Christmas Market Carols
A hugely positive moment of outreach with strong community presence and engagement.
Looking Ahead
- Service of Dedication for the Bells
Date to be confirmed, with the Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Cllr Colin Philimore, invited to attend. This will be a significant milestone in a project that has received outstanding local support.
- Climate Clinic – 8th February 2026 following the church service
An opportunity for the community to explore practical responses to climate and environmental challenges.
