The Overton Benefice is a family of 6 churches serving the communities of Overton, Laverstoke, North Waltham, Steventon, Ashe and Deane. Each church is different in size, character and style but together we are committed to supporting each other in reaching out to our local communities in many and varied ways to share the love of Jesus and better make him known.
All six churches are within a 10 mile radius of the village of Overton. The Benefice sits within beautiful rolling countryside and is rural in character. The churches are: St Mary’s, Overton; St Michael’s, North Waltham; St Mary the Virgin, Laverstoke; St Nicholas, Steventon; All Saints, Deane and Holy Trinity and St Andrew, Ashe.
The approximate population of each village is: Overton (4,500), North Waltham (840), Laverstoke (420), Steventon (220), Deane (200) and Ashe (200).
We like to ensure everyone feels a sense of belonging and knows they have an important role in our church community. Take a look at how you can take part in the life of the church.
